A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF BELLEVILLE, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 25-2303, 25-2309 AND 25-2709 and amendments thereto.

WHEREAS, House Bill No. 2079 was enacted by the 1996 legislature, is a nonuniform enactment, and places significant mandates on cities of the first and second class in Kansas,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BELLEVILLE, KANSAS:

Section 1. Exemption. The City of Belleville, by virtue of the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to and does exempt itself and make inapplicable to it K.S.A. 25-2303, 25-2309 and 25-2709 and amendments thereto, which apply to this city but do not apply uniformly to all cities.
