A CHARTER ORDINANCE AMENDING CHARTER ORDINANCE NO 12 RELATING TO THE NUMBER OF SIGNATURES REQUIRED FOR NOMINATION PETITIONS; AND REPEALING SECTION 7, OF CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 12.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERING BODY OF THE CITY OF BELLEVILLE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Section 7 of Charter Ordinance No. 12 is hereby amended to read as follows:

       Section 7:  In accordance with K.S.A. 25-205, and amendments thereto, any person may become a candidate for city office elected at large by having had filed on their behalf, a nomination petition of no less than 25 qualified electors of the city or a declaration of candidacy, accompanied by any fee required by law. 

SECTION 2.  Section seven of Charter Ordinance No. 12 is hereby repealed.
